Prior to commencement, extensive liaison with Network rail was necessary to overcome limited access to the rear elevations. A fully designed access scaffold was erected to all elevations to enable external restoration and re-decoration.
Main Contract works included a specialist “Kemper” roofing system to provide a suitable cost effective alternative to a potentially very expensive roof replacement.
A comprehensive survey of the existing windows was carried out and conservation joinery repairs completed prior to a full redecoration program. Existing stone features and the brick facade were restored and a number of small items of internal works were also completed requiring continual tenant liaison.
