The award-winning development Battersea Reach, home to the 15-story Pinnacle tower, is an exclusive community alongside a beautiful stretch of the River Thames.

Commercial Stone have recently undertaken the full large stonework package to a large block of standard, sub-penthouse and penthouse apartments, where stone will be installed in 93 high spec kitchens, hallways and bathrooms.

The project will take over 52 weeks to complete spanning from June 2015 to mid-summer 2016.

For those who can’t wait to see the completed residential apartments, Commercial Stone will be completing the stonework in the Battersea Reach Marketing Suite, showcasing the high specification finish chosen for a development worthy of such calibre.

Within a short time onsite, already the work has drawn much attention from development management, which has brought in maintenance packages from other developments including the well-known Vauxhall Tower, South East London.

Most recently, Commercial Stone have also successfully been awarded the Hepworth and Royal Apartments at One Blackfriars, also a prestigious project within the St George portfolio. A team of skilled professionals have put together the perfect combination of innovative design and meticulous detail to reveal a new standard of contemporary London living which Commercial Stone will now be a part of.

The substantial stonework package includes stone walls and floors, to bathrooms, kitchens and living areas, made up of more than 16 different types of marble, granite and limestone.

With the residential stonework set to commence on site from autumn 2015 spanning over 3 years, the completion of these living quarters will grow in anticipation and be greatly sought after – likely before it is even completed.

Stone installation has already begun in the One Blackfriars Marketing Suite, where a range of the stones selected will be on display in their original design.

Marketing Suite Turns Around in Record Time

London Maintenance Services also run by Mark Smith, Managing Director of Commercial Stone; has successfully completed a fast turn-around for supply and installation of Statuario Stone Flooring to the Unit 80 Marketing Suite in the recently built Jubilee Place Lower Shopping Mall, Canary Wharf.

In just a few short weeks, we managed to turn around an empty unit into a top of the range marketing suite, complete with stone flooring, lighting, services, kitchen, and fully functional models.

The particular stone selected was Statuario Stone, used on the floor throughout the whole unit, including the staircase to the upper level within the unit.

This fine to medium grained almost white marble with darkish grey veins gives a smart and contemporary finish to a high quality marketing unit.

Special Additions to Crossrail, Canary Wharf

Crossrail DS3 Mall

The new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station Project is one of the biggest projects we have undertaken this year, and we have had many additions to the package along the way.

One of the most recently completed parts of this package includes the DS3 Retail Mall which is a direct link into the new Crossrail Station.

The wall cladding was completed using Italian stone Travertine Este Light with a honed finish, all fixed using stainless steel load bearing brackets and stainless steel restraint fixings.
The floors were installed with Jura Beige 30mm thick limestone from Germany, with Jura Grey 30mm thick perimeter feature bands around the stone. Our works finished with the addition of a bushed stainless steel skirting.

Crossrail Feature Wall

We are approaching full successful completion of the Crossrail ‘Feature Wall’, where Black Kirkby Riven Slate has been installed in random pieces, creating a beautiful and natural staggered effect.

Following a final application of sealant to the slate, this unique addition to our main Crossrail package will also be complete.
When the station opens, take a look at the natural wall and admire the artistic installation.

Crossrail Dock Edge

Works currently on-going in this package is the supply and installation of stone cladding to the Dock Edge at Adam’s Place, Canary Wharf. The stone will modernise and improve the aesthetic of Adam’s Place, fitting in with the new Crossrail Station.

Installation has already begun with Gris Cero stone, 40mm thick flamed granite pieces fixed to the back of the HSBC and Bank of America. Stainless steel load bearing brackets and restraint fixings are being used to hold the stones in place.

As works continue to progress, we are now due for completion of the Dock Edge by mid-February.

Charity Project – Demelza Children’s Hospice, Kent

We are proud to share our contributions towards the completion of the Demelza Garden of Tranquillity, part of the Children’s Hospice in Kent.

We were able to provide & install external York stone paving and granite cobbles throughout the garden, and it came to a stunning success.

“The garden in its finished form while spectacular in its own right represents much more to the many families who have and will use it into the future while dealing with the grief of losing a child.  As such it represents a priceless resource to Demelza in helping those families overcome their loss and move on with their lives whilst also acting as a focus point in remembering those who have passed on.”
